Snow Road Restrictions Big Car Show In Pittsburgh

Penn Dot is saying road restrictions for big trucks, box trucks, SUVs with trailers cars with trailers, pickups with trailers. Guys from our Pontiac club are at The Pittsburgh World of Wheels this weekend. One guy has a 70 GTO convertible he just finished.Locally calling for 1 to 3 inches by Sunday morning then another 3 " by noon. Then calling for 1" an hour. We around our area are in the 8- 14" range. I would not want to be there.

I was just itching to get my motorcycle out there. They are taking all the fun out of winter. What's next, a ban on sandals

They shut down the World of Wheels show in Pittsburgh early yesterday (7:00 p.m. instead of 10:00 p.m.) and canceled the show for today, the cars moved out last night. At least where I am, north of Pittsburgh, it didn't start snowing until at least midnight so presumably the more local folks would have been able to get their cars out without any problems from snow.

Probably a good idea. Snow started here around 1:15PM yesterday and has just stopped. Got around 5-8” of dry, fluffy snow here; further north(Seymour and Columbus) they got as much as 18” of snow plus the arctic temps for the next ten days. Our AVERAGE high this time of year is in the low forties; the high tomorrow is predicted to be 9-11 degrees F.

Very windy probably over night snow drifts. I've just looked out ,the wind gusts noisy! Listening to 911. Heard the local fire whistle, small wreck. I live out in the country. Only state and township plows out. When I was a lot younger the driveway, 2 cars wide, about 100 ft long would have been cleared.

It’s funny I was out today on CT and we have 12 inches of snow. So far! Some of the roads have been plowed once and have about 5 inches. No one is out but me and one guy riding an electric scooter down the road. 😂 can’t make this stuff up. How it’s getting through the 5 inches of snow I have no idea but he’s hauling ass on this thing and headed for roads with 12 inches of snow I was half temped to follow him but I was in a rush to get somewhere.
