1966 pontiac executive fenders on a 66 laurentian safari

I am in the process of parting out a 1966 pontiac laurentian safari wagon and noticed it has pontiac executive front fenders and doors on it from a southern sedan.

I did some research and am getting mixed answers. I know the executive is a US based
model and the laurentian is a canadian based.

I am getting mixed answers on fender fitment. One I read said they are generally the same but another on here says they mount differently.

Can anyone tell me what the differences are with the front end components? Are the fenders the same and hood different or choice versa? If the fenders are different, what is different besides trim and emblem holes?

Thanks

You need someone with a Canadian parts book, but if those fenders are on a Canadian car, they will probably fit a 66 American or Canadian car.

The Laurentian bodies are mounted on a Chevrolet chassis.

You will find the inner guards are Chevrolet so the mounting points are different.

I cant verify this buy I'm pretty sure the fenders will not mate to the radiator support panel. A 1966 Canadian Pontiac support panel is essentially a 1966 Chevrolet support panel with a Pontiac top welded on.

The Canadian support panel sits on TOP of the chassis whereas the American one is bolted up from the bottom of the chassis.

Just to clarify, the outer skin of the American Pontiac '66 fender is the same stamping as a '66 Canadian carbut the inner sections are somewhat different. I think with some judicious work by a skilled body man, they can be interchanged though

The fender fits but the frame of the fender bolts on in different places so you can use the shell no problem so yes you have some work a head of you if you use as it's not a dirrect bolt on fender
