ID this carb
 

Bought a 66 Tri power intake and carbs many years ago. Now taking a shot at figuring out exactly what I wound up with. Photos below show the center carb that was on the intake. Only two numbers I can find on it are 7037688 on the bowl and 31892 cast into the bottom of the base plate. I have owned Tri power cars since 1977, so I’m somewhat familiar with the setups, but I’m no expert. Much of this carb looks familiar, but the base plate seems weird. I realize it could be a Frankenstein version somebody cobbled together. Can anybody offer any insight as to what this thing is?

Edit: discovered more numbers stamped into choke side of the bowl as follows:

7029104
2 CB91

Bowl 7029104 is 1969 Chevy 327, air horn has cast # inside, idle vent cover is a Chevy thing.
Throttle plate looks legit, wrong style idle needles though.

I decided to look this one up in the 1969 Rochester book;
Curiously in the index, this application number isn't listed, but it is shown on the 327-2bbl page shared with the following application numbers;
7029127 (manual trans/standard)
7029129 (manual trans/air cond)
7029102 (automatic trans/standard)
7029104 (automatic trans/air cond)

7029104 is indexed in all mine 60´s, 70´s and 80´s #9 Delco manuals.

Well I was pretty sure this was not correct for this set up, so I’ll see if I can send it down the road to some Chevy guy. Thanks for helping me figure out the original application on this

With Pontiac throttle plate and (Pontiac?) airhorn it´s not a Chevy carb either, more like a "Frankencarb."
