Which clutch pushrod
 

Hi guys, been awhile for an update on my 66. I'll have to put some pics on my Original thread. My latest issue involves the clutch pushrod. I finally bolted a driver seat in, and when I pressed the cluthch pedal in, there was little to no resistance.. long story short, the end of the threaded rod had snapped off at some point. Nothing surprises me any more. My question is which of the 2 styles is more correct, and is one design superior to the other.?. My setup is all stock. I was using the rod in the second pic. As always thanks for any input.

The rod in the first pic is shorter so if you were using the one in the second pic and it worked then that is the one I would use.

If everything is still stock, then go with the first one which is correct for your application. The original push rod didn't make a hole in the clutch fork did it?

I have a few of the correct NOS ones left, along with the anti-rattle spring, if needed. Your first pic is the correct style. Send me a PM if you want to go that route.

Didn't put a hole in the clutch fork. I've never even had my foot on the pedal. The broken piece is AWOL too, was probably laying in the plastic sheeting I had the undercarriage masked off with. I guess my good fortune is that I noticed it, and didn't try to put it in gear. Thanks for the input everyone!

I personally prefer the 2nd one shown. The ones I have were from GM and very strong.
