Can't say I've seen a MOON intake for an OHC 6 before?

Looks sort of like the old Offenhauser side draft...

... except the carbs appear to mount (near) vertical.
Too bad someone hacked off the mounting ears.

yea my referend was more on the runner design.

The only intake I'm aware of with top mount aftermarket carbs was the MANAFRE Tri-Powers.

Agree its too bad that MOON deal is cut up.

Interesting, I also have never seen a Moon OHC-6 intake, or a downdraft Webber carb intake for a OHC-6. I do remember seeing pictures of a early 67 Firebird Sprint GM test mule with downdraft Webbers, but was never able to find out what intake was used. We may need to talk to Fred S about it.

I remember seeing one on the net a long time ago.
This is from the Moon 1970 catalog (sorry it’s blurry). It shows the Pontiac OHC intake model # 25-11010 for the complete kit and 25-11020 for just the manifold.
It used 48IDA downdraft webers.

On that particular intake there is a post from last year from the seller, that bought it off EBay in 2004 thinking it was for a Chevy 250. He cut the flanges and did some welding on it.

I bought this MQQN intake because it was advertised for a 230-292. Unfortunately I started to modify it to fit a 250 and abandoned the project. Years later I found out that it was made for a Pontiac OHC6. Wish I had known that before I cut off the ears and welded up the inside of 1 of them. Now its jus shelf art ��*♂️������

You can see why they did not sell many, $450 in 1970 is like $3790 today.

60 years later and Moon is still at that address.

I took a chance on the manifold and have it coming my way. Hopefully it can be restored.

I contacted Dave about buying it but must have been a day too late.

I briefly considered using them to fabricate and EFI intake using a plenum like those Supra guys use.
