Throw out bearing
 

Did a search on these, seems the small ones are 1 1/4 long, i found a longer one at O"reillys # 614037 that is about 1 5/8.

Tried setting that up today with my center force N1716 tob.

Best i can tell the clutch fork is forward of the ball towards the motor.

Stock bell, stock fork, prw flywheel and centerforce clutch and pressure plate.

Using the centerforce instructions measuring the flywheel, it seems like im suppose to use a adjustable ball stud to move closer to the motor.

The trans is a tkx...............anyone with some info on this.

Ran this excate same set up for 2 yrs, only change this time i had the flywheel resurfaced this time............im just questioning why in instructions it says i need the adjustable ball.

The adjustable pivot ball makes up the last piece of the puzzle to maintain the proper geometry. You can bring the bearing in closer to the fingers while keeping the bearing end of the fork parallel to the pressure plate and making sure the the other end is ahead of the fork is slightly forward. Then you'll have the geometry correct so it has the leverage to fully disengage the clutch and the TO is centered on the bearing retainer. Any time you change any components or resurface the flywheel you'll be able to fine tune it back. I've run them in several cars, now I have hydraulic.

Hey thanks for the reply, looks like im gonna have to get the adjustable ball, tried the bigger tob #614037 that one was bad, the thing wont even fit on the clutch fork, it falls off as soon as you move the fork, way to loose.

Just hard to believe i need to move the adjustable only .132 towards the motor, think that is like a 1/8 inch, you would think you could make that up with the linkage.

I had the bell housing align at the shop that did the motor, think it is now .002

Anyone have a number for that adjustable ball, i see alot of them, trying to get one where the head is like the stock one, hard to tell what they look like on the pics.

Hey KGTO, thanks for hanging in there with me on this..................will get that one.

You can search till the cows come home, and seems no one knows the # of the middle tob............seems i get a national 1377 as a little bigger than what i have in the small one now, but that number crosses over to the same number as the small one.

You're welcome. If you have both bearings just start with the one that fits the best and adjust the ball height to fine tune it
