I'm using Linux based OS for my personal stuff, married to windows for work stuff and for automotive programming. I don't have it in me to try a new Linux OS. Ubuntu has been stable and reliable for me.

I've been running Mint on an older dell laptop for 5 yrs. trouble free.
Gonna try ZORIN on it with usb for kicks.

I play with my RPi stuff on Ubuntu, I haven't tried any of the other Linux variants. I don't do any gaming or processor taxing tasks, so it's worked well. I have one laptop setup with it on a partition, the other partition is windows nt. I stick to basic tasks and teach myself to program since I don't want to use anything AI generated. It's slow when I do it, but I don't have timelines to meet so it's not an issue. I've been tinkering with my Flipper zero and a hackRF using Ubuntu, I'm a little out of my league but it keeps my brain working.

I have been an avid linux user since 2007. Toyed with Red Hat based systems before that but MS Vista was the proverbial 'last straw' for me.
As SRGN stated, still keep MS for work and Automotive DIA / Programming, but beyond that... LINUX.
Started with Kubuntu, then tried PCLINUXOS, Fedora, Neon, CentOS... can't even remember all the others.
Neon was cool, but as a rolling cutting edge release it held a couple of challenges.
Ultimately I made my way back to Kubuntu a few years ago and run a heavily customized version.
I'm partial the the KDE Plasma desktop.
I have seen the Zorin distro pop up from time to time, based on the LTS variant of Ubunutu which is heavily rooted in Debian. If it piques your interest go for it.

How to check if you are vulnerable

Run the following command to check your current kernel version:

Fixes have been made available in Linux kernel versions 6.18.22, 6.19.12, and 7.0. If your kernel is older than these versions and your distribution has not yet pushed a patched package, you are vulnerable.

Why it's VERY important to check update software every day - week./

I keep one PC with anything important air gapped, security vulnerability isn't an issue. I have a RPi 4 that is going to be used as a VPN server, just haven't had the time to set it up. Other than forum logins and other miscellaneous stuff, there's just not much worth hacking into on most of my stuff, by design.

Ditched Windows 10 over a year ago and now I'm using Linux Mint with no problems. Love the freedom.
