Pontiac "Jury"?

As per usual, some kook came out of the woodwork at the local car show sunday spitting new facts I have not heard of before. (my daughter says we are all kooks with undiagnosed adhd - she may be right).

Anyway, he was talking about the Canadian built judge/jury that I have never heard of before, altho my mammary isn't as good as it used to be. 😒

Was it really a thing? I thought all GTO's/LeMans were US built ->

Pretty sure it's been discussed on these forums a long time ago. I think it was a dealer thing, maybe one, maybe a local dealer group. Like 69 Firebird Comanche (were there 68 Comanches?) from somewhere around Hamilton I think. I first heard of the Comanche at a mid-80s Carlisle meet, ages before the common internet.

Canadian dealer made them.

I saw those featured in a HPP mag, or poncho perf mag. Can’t remember.

Real shame Stampede Motors didn't order all these '70's with L78 400 4bbls.

unruhjonny 06-18-2026 02:44 PM

/\ agreed.

IIRC there was a Texas (?Arizona) dealership that made the 'Magnum 400' which was essentially this car, but with the 400/4bbl engine... MUCH cooler in my opinion.

The Magnums were from Knafel out of OH.
