70 GTO Plastic Hood Scoop Repair
 

I was wondering if anyone could pass on some quality suggestions for a material to use to repair this scoop of mine.

I was thinking of some type of epoxy or maybe a fiberglass repair would work on this plastic scoop. Not sure what is best but I'd rather not have to do it again down the road....

JB Weld is a pretty good product.

Yes it is, I've used it for lots of things but never for a foundation for body repair. I thought about it but not sure if the repair would show through after a while...

I'd use it. JMO

I used a J B Weld for plastic. It was light tan in color. Worked great and sanded like body filler. Held up and no issues for a few years. Sold the car.

The scoop is molded pressed fiberglass.
I would use fiberglass to repair as it will last longer if done right.
Especially for a clean break like that.

Well, I already bought some of the JB weld for "plastic" and started... I beveled each side and applied it to the backside. Pretty sure it will be fine but I'll bevel back the front side in a bit and use fiberglass repair there. Kind of an unorthodox repair method but I'd feel better if the material under the paint is all the same.

JB weld for plastics is a resin/glass product. Its not original Jb weld, and will work fine.
