1970 Trans Am Fron Valance Lower Blackout
 

Anyone have pictures of a original Norwood built white TA with lower part of Front Valance blacked out?

It's weird that they'd black out that part on a TA, as it's not visible. I understand it on a Formula or a base bird.

Anybody got pics of their original valance blacked out? Let me know if a Norwood thing or both plants did it. List plant at build date if you post pics

Is that really blacked out or just not completely painted. The black looks like the color that the panel is when new before paint.

Norwood built 70 esprit, original paint. Black looks to be applied after body color.

I thought i had seen that before but had been a while.

This photo shows why that blackout is necessary - just too much 'color' showing otherwise even under a T/A.

Needs to be blacked out like the factory did.


Assume this was done to all 1970 to 1973 trans ams?

I guess if you're laying with your face against the pavement, you might see it on a TA :D

Neat to learn what was done when they were built.
I'm taking lots of pics of this TA as reference material.
