What’s Youman et a Norwalk going to be?
He just went a 3.793. What will he do in the 1/4? Think be a record setting Pontiac pass?
|
Is he going to run the 1/4? Car is pretty much set up for the 1/8.

Going there to bracket race? It wouldn’t seem so. 5.83 by the Kaufman digger and 250 mph for the boss bird are in reach. |

I tell Jeff every year that if he breaks our record, I'll congratulate him on the internet and then point out that it took him XX years to do it. And we both laugh! Eric |
Eric, what was the 1/8th mile ET on your runs? (and MPH?)
I'd say Tommy could get the ET possibly, but the MPH may be harder to do? |
I just talked to Tommy. He is doing exhibition runs only. 1/8 mile, just wants to show the Pontiac guys some love.
|
Our best 1/8 was 3.88 at 190-something so Tommy has us there.
But nitro makes more power under the heavier load of the big end so his 1/8 doesn't automatically translate to besting our 1/4. But I hope he tries. His car has the most potential of anybody. Eric |

Unfortunately he has blown the tires off both passes today. Hopefully tomorrow will be better

Norwalk one of the best treated starting lines for top fuel.
Not so much for other events. Not bashing just saying. Great place for 9-10 second cars. Langer show up make a run? Kauffmans? Spotty? GTO George? Bob and Frank? Rob and B Carol? They're a holes :drunk: |
Tommy left earlier today. Track prep was bad. Never got a clean run.Frantic 4 had trouble as well.

Eric, the 3.88 was at 193mph and that was at the World Series in Cordova. 2017? It was on a mission, too bad they didn't prep the back side of the track, you spun the tires after you were past the 660.
Jerry said with nitro that you add two seconds to the 1/8mi ET to get a 1/4 time for what we were doing. He smiled and shrugged: "Well, that *would* have been a 5.88..." Same weekend we talked to Garlits at the restaurant, also hearing him tell the waitress in great detail over a few minutes how to properly microwave his piece of pie. |
