I'm not aware of anything off the shelf. I expect to cut this bell, maybe just a smidge with a cone-less mini-starter. Its a BOP to T-56 bell as I have a T-56 ready to go behind my OHC at some point. I do have a BOP-TKO scatter shield on the shelf at the moment because I pulled my Buick's engine last week, so can check that too, but expect the same issue.

Will the mini fit if the block saver plate is trimmed?
I have an old 2 piece Ansen BOP scattershield
I may drag that out and see how it fits.
Other option is a blanket but having lived thru a horrible clutch explosion in my 68 Bird and lucky to have toes on right foot,
Im nervous about nothing more than aluminum between me and an exploding chunk of metal
What flywheel and clutch will you be running?

Either today or tomorrow I can check to see what the clearance looks like without the block saver.

Aluminum bells are certainly cheaper than steel, and though I've never experienced a clutch/flywheel explosion, I like the piece of mind with the steel bell. My Skylark has had one since I put the TKO-600 in back in 2008.

I will likely run a Zoom clutch, like I have in my Skylark. As for flywheel, not sure. I've been told there are ones that will bolt up correctly to the OHC, but never given part numbers or found one that does. I've been buying new internally balanced SFI rated flywheels off the Summit discount shelf, and have two Pontiac and one Oldsmobile one, and of course none of them will directly bolt up. Right now I'm looking at using the Olds one with a hub spacer and new bolt holes drilled for the OHC crank bolt spacing. I 3D printed a template and have drilled the pilot holes but not the big holes. I consider this a sub-optimal solution, so if you find a part number on a flywheel that is bolt on, or just needs a hub spacer, then let me know!! I currently have a SFI Buick 455 flex plate (that I got free) on my OHC using a centering hub spacer and new bolt holes drilled.

Not to bash but a Zoom went thru my hood.

Seems everything needs modification to work properly past 30 yrs.

On my Buick 455, stock'ish Center Force would slip in higher gears at WOT. The McLeod pressure plate at 20,000 miles seized up while I was driving to Drag Week causing me to miss Drag Week (and almost rear end a car in front of me when the clutch wouldn't disengage). Put a Zoom in and it has good feel and no apparent slip at WOT, so my preference �� Its got one Drag Week on it and 12 years. I spin it to 6,200rpm.

Put the other scatter shield on without the block plate. I've clearanced this one already for some reason (I think to clear a gear reduction nose cone...,) and still wouldn't be enough for a mini starter.
