The initial timing is stable at 12* with no VA and 24* with VA. It starts immediately and idles very good with 15" vacuum at 800 RPM.

I'm not sure exactly what you looking at but if something looks wrong on the rotor, it's just lighting, shadows, etc. The only thing I found bent was the terminal on the rotor.
