Do you think trying to reproduce the spot welds with a MIG/gas, is a waste of time?
Flux core could never do it, but with a little piece of copper backing and gas, I think I could get a tiny pool...

Thanks for the advice. I'm also going to try and replicate the look of the original spot welds vs laying a solid bead with the mig welder. I will look more original from the bottom.

Maybe the PHS documentation will give me more info about this, I hope.

with the 2093 closest to the intake manifold side.
The center exhaust port definitely has 093 cast on it.
