I am running 255 60 15's rear and 245 60 15's on front.
I do not have any rubbing while turning steering wheel lock to lock.
I would think there are many other configurations that work but...

My 70 Model J 400, has 3/8 from main to fuel pump...

My 70 Model J 400, has 3/8 from main to fuel pump and 5/16 for the return.
Just replaced the tank, sending unit, steel lines pump when I had the carb rebuilt.
Not sure if same for your 72 but I...

Recently Purchased a Triple Black 70 J.
Now being the purist that I am, the car has a 69 Grille and I am going to replace it with the correct. Not that there is anything wrong with the 69 grille...

Steering Column Interchange

I have located a tilt steering column from a 69 Chevelle will it fit into my 70 GTO?
It is local to me and would be convenient.
