1969-70 Fan Shroud Extension

As with many of these GPs, mine has a chunk missing from the shroud extension. Does anyone know of a source for the extension piece or at least material that would work to make one?

The problem with the tower clamps on Ames is that they don't have the correct sizes. They have 1.5" and 1.75" which say fit bottom and top radiator hoses but they are both too small for that...

I have been trying to resolve a ride problem with my '67 with no success.

When driving over 30mph, anytime I go over a dip or bump in the road, the car seems like it bottoms out with a loud bang....
