At what compression do you drop the heat range of the plug? What determines the heat range -static, dynamic, or cold cranking compression? Is another option to decrease the gap by .005"?

Question on valve grinds..

What are the different types? 3, 5, form tool? What are the advantages/disadvantages of each? How important is the grind? I understand it helps low lift, but I am lookin for the hows and why's....

how did the early sixties catalinas,gp's, and other makes compare performance wise with the 64 and up the early 70's gto's, chevelles, chargers, and mustangs? did the early cars hold there own?

i have run 3.90's on the street with 400's with...

i have run 3.90's on the street with 400's with no problems. i figure a 3-3/4 stroke 389, roller cam, and a stick can easily handle 4.11's.

valve sizes are 1.88int/1.60exh. can i have them machined for 1.92 or even a 2.02/1.66? would the 2.02 be a chevy valve? come on all you old time racers out there think back a lil further!
