Well first off, the JW bell housing reduces the chances of cracking the bell housing. And the top bolts are not hard to do with a long extension, and before installing the cross member.

I checked the bell-housing to tranny pump with feeler gauge as you mentioned. All was good.
I think I may have had the engine sitting rear-ward a bit too much when I tightened the engine mount...

Yes just the o-rings. I didn't get a change to measure the tranny. Cut the bell housing off the other TH400 I have. Was looking online and it says 24-5/16"

Hi: Have any of you installed a JW Bell-housing on a TH400 and it pushed the tranny back 1/8" to 3/16".



I installed one with an IA2 block and JW bell housing and the cross member would not...
