Have you considered just the 8 lug "look"? Using the 8 lugs to cover either regular drum or disc brakes. You would have to have your axles and drums redrilled to 5 on 5 but that wouldn't be hard.

That is the 2nd cheapest 1968-9 GTO on ebay. It may not be a great car but it is in the ball park for cars that are for sale out there. They are all over priced as far as I'm concerned.

Dataway is correct. Slide the tool between the base of the handle and the plastic washer from the handle end. If nobody screwed up the installation of the clip it will pop right out.

I have tried several times to use 389 valve covers on a 400 and unless you use thick gaskets or 2 gaskets the rockers will dent the valve covers.
