Center carb flooding after engine shut off

This is usually related to fuel pressure. Fuel will not flow backwards through your pump. Under hood heat will expand fuel in line and increase pressure.

Try putting a gauge on the line and watch...

Need help identifying tripower thermostat housing

This thermostat housing came on a 1959 tripower intake manifold. It has an unusual, casting on the side which I have never seen.

Can anyone help me identify this?

Jeff Kauffman sent me these numbers today. I had supplied KRE with a set of Rochesters modified by opening up the Venturi area on all three to 1 3/8"

Comparison Rochesters to Holleys KRE

I have supplied KRE with a modified set of Rochesters. All three have been opened up to 1 3/8”, in venturi area. Their plan is to do a Dyno pull on same motor, comparing them with the Holleys.

You have that backward. The smaller checkball goes in the pump well. I suspect it may be missing. Similar Chevy carbs from the 60s have no orifice in the bottom of the well.
