Not sure what Pertronix you have,I have stuck with the original Pertonix 1.Been 20 years and have never had a issue.Have 2 in running engines,last one I bought still shows made in USA.FWIW,Tom

61-62s dont use a pivot ball.It uses a shaft that linkage goes on and held with a C clip.63-64s use the pivot ball.FYI!63-64 WILL work on 61-62s and is WAY better.Tom

Looks to me that a 65 tripower thermo housing is a safe one as it is pretty much pointed toward the middle so whichever the position of the radiator top outlet can be worked out with a hose?Tom
