No, at least this one is pink

On this vehicle the pink wire has switched power, it is right next to the tach signal which is brown. The pink hei wire is closer to the firewall and the tach filter is closer to the carb.

If you follow the service Manual for 79 Oldsmobile it actually doesn't say remove the pan. It actually recommends trimmings the pan seal about an 1/8" on each side, and chamfering the alignment...

Distributor is also out, pulled the intake for cleanup with a new manifold gasket, and the fan blades are out as is the radiator.... Seems like the time to do this if it's going to get done.

Quite late, however may be able to help someone tooling throught the archives. I believe that 69' specs show a 1.00" thickness while new, and minimum was at 0.960" Hope this helps someone.

Thanks for that info, the only reason I ask is because a pair of the straight and a pair of the angled came with my ball joint set. I will get an additional set of straights to install.
