Is the remaining quench in a full dish like that effective? Couldn't you just run a flat top .050 in the hole?

If its really a DQ cruiser I wouldn't spend the xtra on the roller cam but that's just me. Don't forget you get away with more squeeze on the AL heads so the dish will probably end up about the same...

I would expect it to have traction issues in 1st and 2nd as you saw. Bigger question is how does it feel in 4th. 4th gear at 50 mph/2K rpm should pull strong till things get scary.

I got it as a gift so I use a "magic creeper". Its kinda like a sleeping bag but it tracks with you. Eventually it transfers all of the garage floor dirt to your clothes but it does make it easier...

Am I reading Truman right in that he does the opposite of what everyone else does? Most say zero clearance THEN 1/2 turn PRELOAD. Seems Truman says +.010 CLEARANCE.

I used to get tired of people recommending factory cams all the time but this is a case where the ole 068 is probably a better choice. Similar size/power but more exhaust and wider LSA is a better...
