It seems like I'm replacing motor mounts every year. Has anyone found a good one for use on the 69 Firebird? I drive it hard, but it should still last longer than these do.

While you have it apart drill the hole in the block above the center exhaust side bolt hole. It is nice that the E heads have that hole in them. I know that mod sure helps keep in cooler in Phoenix.

.006 is a lot for a press fit. The manufacturer of the bushing may have had the machine go out of tolerance and several bushings went through before catching it? Either way, Tom has a good solution...
