Nice car and cool that the owner kept a lot of the original stuff. Too bad original fenders are gone. Can't stand seeing early 2nd gen cars with fender brace hole area in fender rails.

Regular (high) pressure washing does not work...

Has a new fuel pump been put in yet? I have seen fuel pumps working fine until heat builds up in it from (hot)return line gas and then you have issues like it appears you are having.

Every shop around here in SoCal quotes undercarriage cryo cleaning work for around $2000 to $3000 --- and two days to do it. But being undercoated I would expect to pay another thousand at least!!

I'd said depends on the power level. Under 500hp or so and absolutely no need for headers.

And with the funky 1st gen steering box in the way, headers kiss the box and plain s*ck in that regard...
