gto4evr, I just checked the Forum and your comment about the reason for the bare space does make sense. It would definitely make it easier to install after the seats are bolted down.

Thank you for posting the page from the Service Manuel. I was informed by a Concours judge that I had installed it wrong. I just need to slide the strap further into the hole.
