Fill with 100psi nitrogen on high side...use spray on bubbling leak detector...you will find it...the bad thing about dye is that it can be used only one time due to residual dye at previous leak...

Need some advice...a friend of mine has an opportunity to purchase a 42,000 mile all original 1977 GP...what would be a reasonable value? See the pics. Olds 403 engine.

Wow...I didn't know that a chrome mirror was an option on 71-72...in 40 years of junkyarding and car shows I have never seen one. Good to learn something new.

Tank volume

You are correct about tank volume for GP being larger. I had many people tell me they were the same and that the factory literature stating 26 gallon was incorrect. I had to replace my original tank...

An original style cooling system will work just fine if all minor issues are right...my 70 GP is 400 0.060 over with stock cooling system...will go all day in stop and go traffic with AC on and not...

Is this the original compressor?...drier could be partially stopped up and this would starve the evaporator for refrigerant...is the condenser in good condition and clean to allow for maximum...
