I also have the $20 T-stat and the Ford starter...
I also have the $20 T-stat and the Ford starter solenoid controling the fan is also $20 and I too did the CS144 ugrade,so I'm with you on all that. Have you upgraded your headlight wires to 12 ga....

If you think about it, its nothing more than an EXTREMELY heavy duty relay....
Most of them are 80 amps continuous duty cycle
I also have a Taurus e fan on my s10 balzer and it also has a solenoid...

Best and cheapest way to contol the high speed portion of the fan
was, instead of useing a expensive high amp relay, use a regular fender mount starter...

Just put a G body (Buick GN) steering box in my GTO. They made it very easy with the fittings they sold me. They were like a ferrel that you tap into the box, that lets it accept a normal flared end...

I had one of these back in the day, in my 1984 hurst olds. As far as I know they only came in the 83' and 84' hurst olds. Its more of a gimmick than anything else.The stick on the far left worked...
