I was surprised to see the 73 jump to that price...

I was surprised to see the 73 jump to that price so quickly. Actually I didn't think a 73 non-SD would get to that price at the end of the auction!
I pay more attention to the 70-72 TA's I guess.

Glad you got it figured out. Unfortunately that seems to be the case with so many things today, not just automotive. It makes you long for the old days for sure!

Yes, I don't recall seeing the switches ever painted back in the day. It really jumps out at me when I see them body color on a REpainted car.

The owner posted some pictures where the shifter comes through the tunnel. That looks plastic? Is that a common repair piece. Looks odd to me. I haven't seen that.

I got the impression that the "birdless" TA's were sold thru regular channels and then called back in when they figured out the solution...
