Darth, the suggestion I made won't eliminate heat in the cabin, but should reduce it some.

Dearth, a Petcock keeps the hot circulating water from entering the heater core, thus reducing heat inside the psgr compartment. They are used on many school buses to attempt to keep engine heat down...

You might be able to install a Petcock on the heater core inlet hose.

I' m having a similar problem with an additional twist. My gas gauge has been pegged on full. When I reach just over half a tank, my gauge reads normal, down to empty.

Hi Kdr, I had that problem of flooding. Check timing and choke adjustment. I'm certain it's a little of both. Where in n.j. did you live? I used to near Cherry Hill.
