Back in the 70’s ...we gas welded and brazed 1/4...

Back in the 70’s ...we gas welded and brazed 1/4 panels on....patch panels too. The Mig didn’t hit the body shops until 1980 or so....in my area anyways.

Glass cleaner will clean those areas ...where the stripes go.

There is a solution that is applied to the Decal as well as the panel.

If the panel is cool....you can warm it up with a heat gun.

I had Cliff rebuild my QJet 4-5 years...

I had Cliff rebuild my QJet 4-5 years ago....still performing like a Swiss watch. I’ve never had a Qjet run like this in my life. So glad I found him on this site.

Make sure to put some 3/4 inch tape on the edges...

Make sure to put some 3/4 inch tape on the edges of the adjacent panels...and on sharp body lines with-in the panel you are buffing. I’ve been running a buffer for 48 years and still use the tape.

Yes...sometimes it’s called ..extra cut .

I just use the “Heavy Cut / Extra cut ...with a wool pad ..and rotary buffer first.

And buff until all scratches are gone...usually 2-3 applications...
