Thank you for the comments. If you shim the upper opening and use the early gasket will it still leak? I guess another solution is to find a 72 cast iron intake or an aftermarket manifold and use it....

Thanks for the comments. Decisions Decisions. I only found one shop to replace the bushings and ball joints in the control arms for $100 each. So $400 and I will have to clean and paint them as well....
