I run a very light concentration of Zerex G-05, get freezing point low enough to be comfortable. Car is in garage that never drops below 40 degrees

Yeah.... you have multiple gears engaged at the same time - internal failure of some sort. Going to have to jack it up, remove driveshaft to move it around.
