You are right! I will connect up the loose door switch wire and see if the key buzzer works - guessing not.

Also, I did notice the car is missing its parking brake light switch, so that problem...

Interesting, does the 68 GTO have cornering lights? Both front turn signal/park lights work (which are on the corners coincidentally). Don't suppose you are talking about those?
