For info there is NO life limit on aircraft tires, the reason why is that there are no steel belts in aircraft tires or aircraft tire retreads. If your tires have o steel belts in their construction...

Roger that, there is a small 1/8" hole punched in the firewall mounted trim plate that also indicates the threaded mounting hole up by the coat hanger hook is present.

Not that they would have saved a life, but shoulder belts may have helped out here, Anyone with an A Body made after Jan 66 can install them. They are cheap insurance.

I have a pair of OE valve covers off my 66 Post. I had these re-chromed about 7 years ago, not reinstalled since. They look good, but the re-chrome job around the bolt holes is not 100%. Oil filler...
