Also what should be the vacuum part vs mechanical? Engine is at 9.8 to 1 comp.

I have a 455 TA with a 230@50 duration and 490 lift cam, 400 6X heads, performer intake. The 800 Q-jet has been drilled out or modified. I can't get the thing to idle for shi*. Should I get a new one...
