Oh: there was a bolt instead of a stud. If that bolt came off, the bridge would have fell in (if it could fit past the butterfly)

Just took off the air filter can for the first time. It was held down in the center by a bolt into the "bridge" across the 1 brl. carb. on the 61

I'm guessing there should be a stud and a wing...

I have my 61 cluster "hood" off. Is it supposed to have a nice sweeping arch top? Mine does on the left side, then a depression (down) on the right side a bit. Sort of wavy.

Its cast, so no way...

I like lacquer due to the quick dry times. You just need to be careful of what you are spraying on. Most of my pieces will be stripped to bare metal, prepped, primed and then shot with the lacquer....
