I may be wrong here, but I can't imagine expansion of an AL block is a major consideration.

Look at iron vs aluminum LS engines. I've never seen things like bolts loosening up, or piston height...

Hmm when I had the OHC 6 and 3 speed in my 67 Firebird, I assumed the bellhousing was the same as a V8. I sold the bellhousing with the engine.

My 68 was a sprint car, but someone put a 400 in it...

I hate seeing a SBC in a Pontiac, but mostly because they are just a boring engine. I can tolerate a nice BBC, and I love LS engines. To each their own though, I don't tell people what they should do...

Are you saying you used air springs from Ridetech on your 78? Ridetech has coil overs now and their shocks have been highly praised so far.

Their 4 link doesn't require any cutting to install...
