Coker rep told me their Firestone FR70s are correct tire for a 69' GTO. Poking around I'm reading a lot of guy's specifically saying the GR70s are correct.

mis spoke re- lack of button-release on Ames repop switch: its there ... re-assembled switch
realized check valve was on backwards ... they'll open now but won't close
back to it ..

car's original switch was, even after deep cleaning, binding in-out really badly so I grabbed one from Ames. theirs looks mostly the same but doesnt have that push button set up to...

Hideaway Cover Hanging Up On Bumper ...

finally got around to hanging nose my 69 .. put hideaway covers on and learned that passanger side cover won't open fully as it's hitting edge of endura.

anyone experience this...

was under rear end yesterday when I found this guy. assuming it's from fuel sending unit. anyone recognize? fuel gauge works fine btw.

I installed driver's side inner (stacked) belts today.
I used a long shank bolt from our host.

once really snugged down, shank isn't large enough to let two metal belt-ends move...

Wear on 69' 1111970 Distributor Weights

I have a very .. very vague memory of being 18 y/o and putting lighter springs in this distributor (that was 40 years ago btw) ...

I'm wondering if these springs are too light and that's why...
