Use a 3\8 drive long extension and a 1/2" swivel...

Use a 3\8 drive long extension and a 1/2" swivel socket for the two top side bolts. Done it for years!
No need to stick your hand in that hole. Which good luck unless you have small hands.

Thoughts. The slot may have something to do with where the hinged cable bracket bolts to flapper housing? So when flapper closes it doesn't hook onto foam or damage it?
I don't think it comes near...

Just a note , The standard SST differential would have a part # 9795082 casting which is the 2 pinion carrier.
The HD SST which is 3.55, 3.90, 4.33 has casting 9795084 which is the 4 pinion casting...

I would be interested in one. I'm sure with a 3D printer as 65 mad goat mentioned they would be easy to make.

I agree on not using those cinder bricks especially on there side. They would be much stronger setting straight up.
Myself I would feel safer with crisscrossed and stacked blocks of 2x4''s screwed...

I didn't think the knob I have was anything special just that it was with a bunch of gto parts I acquired.
