You have the tall rad with the 2" shorter core support ? That would make the rad sit 2" taller then the support & require a custom top rad holder & hood would hit the rad. Is the bottom of the core...

Yes tap it right were the fuel line attaches to carb , & if that works leave it alone , the few times it has happened i have opened them up to find nothing .
