I've been working on the clutch linkage to get it freed up, de-rusted and painted. I replaced the bushings and retainer + fresh grease on the bell crank. Mostly installed now.

I guess all 400s and 455s have 6 bolt holes? So even though my 6X heads on my 400 have 6 bolt holes, manifolds from my 350 with only 4 bolts will work?

I'm using the original re-surfaced flywheel from my 71 GT-37 350. I'm using a spacer ring because i'm bolting it to a 1976 400 crank with smaller register.

Okay... So it's a spacer for that thin bolt that goes sideways on the shifter? I was thinking the loose, sloppy shifter question and this piece might be related but wasn't sure.

This is the top of the original Hurst shifter that is in my GT-37. It wiggles back and forth (see arrows) about 3/16". Will this go away once I plug the shift handle back in or is there something...
