It's a cost effective alternative to the expensive radio swaps out there. Your radio retains all of its original circuitry and works...

Highway temp in az after about 10 mile was about 210 now its running 190 on a 95 degree day. Easy fix, 5 bucks in new gaskets and about 90 minutes of work.

You can test that radio with just about any speaker although long term you will need 8-10 ohms as that is the load the amp is designed to drive. For just testing your Jensen will work just fine....

Most likely you have a radio that has multiple problems, starting with the audio section. Low volume could be a problem with the preamp section or the main output transistor and associated circuitry...
