Thanks for all the input. My top end package was from SD Performance so I’m sure there are hundreds of these out there with no issues. I will also check around to see who has a valve spring scale.

I adjusted the right side exactly like the post above and same thing, rough idle missing on #4. Backed off to zero lash and runs fine. Guess this tells me something.

i suspect that when the #4 intake valve did not close the pressure from the compression stroke messed up the fuel/air mixture to #1 and 7.

Just to update on what i have been doing to this...

1) changed timing chain and degreed cam at 108 degrees
2) changed spark plugs and checked cap and rotor which look ok
3) swapped plug wire...
