Heaters/defrosters were a federal safety requirement in 69 - L88's had to have them too.
Exceptions are Hawaii and export.

They were deletable via RPO AR1 (no idea on the Pontiac code). I've only seen one and it was for a Chevelle.

Hard to find now. I don't think they are needed anyway.
