I read in one of the Firebird books that the second generation Firebird was designed with the most severe rollover standards in mind. That is why the Firebird roof was double walled. As you can see, it held up extremely well. The rear pillar supported the roof during the rollover.
I came out with no stithes and no broken bones, only a bunch of tiny cuts and some compression fractures in my neck vertebrae. My leg and hip hurt some, but I was later diagnosed with a degenerative hip condition. Overall, I fared very well.
