20 yrs ago I put a chevie pushrod through a rocker arm not having said parts out back. This is it I want more torque so having spare 400. I pulled out 'it' and started swap. Not knowing what I was in for 'like a blind date'. I tried using stock parts for everything. Only driveshaft had to be cut.( My truck had a 350, 350 turbo) This is what I did: loosen frame mounts, place Pontiac in place using stock metal mounts(engine was out of 71 F body),carb linkage lined up, powersteering worked, exhaust worked, radiator worked, made longer battery cables, trans was M40 long tailshaft, had to adjust trans rod from column.Tighten everything down. The engine was stock ,the difference was night and day gas mileage was a little better but power to pull my race car trailer up hills was alot better. The truck had a utility body on it and weighed 7000#.
