Okay, being pretty new to this site, and in need of a strong refresher on some basics, here goes....
a) If I plan to use my original Shaker scoop, what intakes are able to accomodate it? Specifically, do the Edelbrock Performer RPM and/or the P4B fit? Is there an advantage to either of them over the other?

b) I have the possibility of picking up a 428 with #16 heads. Right now, I have a set of #96's to rebuild. Understanding the differences in the chamber capacities as well as the similarities between the two, if I am looking for pump gas performance from a 462 stroker, should I go ahead and use the 16's, or will the 96's cut down to say 85-90cc's be alright? I project trying to get 475-500 HP from the engine for street use.

c) There has been some discussion on one of the Boards here about the Tri-Y headers. Given either head configuration, since both are D-ports, can I get a set of those to fint my 77 TA with automatic transmission?

d) Will a 400 TH fit my 400 WA-coded block without any difficulties, especially inside? If so, what shifter is the prefered type these days? (Right now it has a 350 TH with an aftermarket converter, which stall speed I am totally unsure of also- any suggestions on how to decipher THAT one?) I don't plan on strip usage, but I want something that will keep me from scattering in the event I encounter a boneheaded moment.

I think that's about all for the moment.... since this is drawn out, if anyone wishing to respond wants to, use my email address, or you can post it here, no matter. Thanks for any suggestions...
