I just realized I also have the PHS docs for my donor car, also a 67 GTO HO. It was built mid 11 66 and has the J designation in box 77.
According to the restoration guide by Zazarine and Roberts, there were 3 models of the first T400 in early 67, the PS PT and PQ, at some point through the production year (Obviously sometime after 12/66 cause my trans is a PS)they went with a redesigned model PX which was engineered to handle the higher torque of the GTO 400 engine. Perhaps the PX Model is the source of the different code on the documents?
