I have a 66 Bonneville convertible with 8 lug rims. They look great, but the steel liners are getting thin. and repairing them at this time seems hopeless
I recently purchased a complete front disc brake set-up from a 69 Bonneville 4 dr.
I cleaned, glass beaded and painted the spindles, brackets & backing plates. I have a set of new (reman) loaded front calipers, a new bendix dual master cylinder, a metering valve from the 69 disc brake set-up, used & machined front brake rotors (2 piece) & the complete rear brake set-up with new shoes & wheel cylinders, cleaned & painted backing plates & used, machined rear brake drums.
Any interest in a trade? I have everything you would need to convert your car to disc brakes.
I was going to convert my 66 Bonneville to disc brakes & Torque Thrust wheels, just as you're thinking of doing, but I would like to stay with the eight lug set-up if I could!
